'About a Girl' was supossed to be the first single from the third studio album by The Academy Is…, entitled "Fast Times at Barrington High", but Summer Hair = Forever Young beat it to the interweb first. It reached the US Billboard Pop charts at #88, and was ranked number 39 on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2008.
