Biography
The Answer Team was formed by drummer Brandon Bone and guitarist Tom McCauley in Omaha, Nebraska, in 2006. A short time later, they were joined by guitarist Jason Bejot. In the early years, the band endured multiple line-up changes and experimentation with vocals which the band decided "just didn't work" only moments before recording their debut EP, Dead Letter Office, in 2008.
Self-released in late 2008, Dead Letter Office was initially only available as a download. It had been so well received, being called "The Best of Myspace" by rocksellout.com and glowing reviews by music critics and publications such as Progression Magazine, that they released a CD version with a bonus track in late 2009. This rerelease also introduced current bassist Dustin Treinen of Paria and Analog fame.
Their debut full-length album, O Sad and Future Human, was self-released on August 2nd, 2011. The local Omaha community regards it highly calling it "one of the best releases in recent memory" by the Omaha World Herald. The same goes for the international community having showcased different tracks multiple times on the wildly popular Post-rock Facebook page and other music review blogs.
It was recorded at Enamel Studios by Joel Petersen (The Faint) and ARC Studios by A.J. Mogis (Criteria).
