Biography

The Anti-Job are New York transplants in Los Angeles.
Amanda Jones and Martin Lopez-Iu formed The Anti-Job at Vassar College in 2009.

Their 2009 EP, "We Are The Anti-Job" and music video, "The Robbery" landed them in the sights and appreciation of Ric Rawlins of Art Rocker Magazine TV.

The release of their debut album, "BLOOM" (2012) garnered the attention of Henry Rollins, 89.9FM KCRW DJ / L.A. Weekly contributor.

Since then, they've toured the East Coast and packed venues all over Los Angeles, performing along-side acts like: garage rockers FIDLAR, metal experimentalists Kayo Dot and indie-pop rockers, Elizabeth and the Catapult.

The Anti-Job are an indie-avant-garde-psychedelic rock band. Their music offers an exciting mixture of floral psychedelic surf rock, electronic and world music with unique poly-rhythms.

Hear their music on Los Angeles radio stations: KCRW 89.9FM, KXLU 88.9FM, KPFK 90.7FM and Moheak radio. Most recently (Oct. 2012), their single, "Rain Dance, Pt1" was featured in both the trailer and pilot of the new scripted series, DTLA featuring Melanie Griffith and made by the producers of "The L Word."
