While I think Familiars is the best The Antlers album due to it being sonically adequate with my taste in general; Hospice has some of the best lyrics they have ever written. Bear and Two in particular have passages that are just awe-inspiring; like that down on your knees worship shit; "two silver rings on our fingers in a hurry." Just wow.

Just got this on vinyl. One of the best albums of the last 30 years, hands down. (Pressing was horrible tho)

Yes, I went through a relationship that was disturbingly close to this but I'm pushing myself through this album just to feel something on this date.

The amount of listens I have on this album does not bode well for my mental health.

First listen and I'm already sobbing at the 3rd track. This is beautifully depressing.

yeah no way I'm ever listening to this again. The first time I listened to this it was a sleepless night about 4 in the morning. this album just sounds like a cancer ward stricken with death and misery, it made me feel sick for the rest of the day. it is way too much

Me standing in the shoutbox for The Antlers' 'Hospice' realizing that 2021 is almost over and nothing has really changed for the better and I'm still here with this indescribable tangle of gross feeling in my chest that this music exacerbates immensely. Me knowing damn well the only way I won't be back here in 2022 is if the world ends or I do before then.

Too overhyped, don't care. I love indie rock but I could barely make it through this album. Listen to Lou Reed's Berlin instead
