A magnificent cult early 80's gem. The vocals are remarkable and it's an incredibly addictive and unique sound.

rearding Bjork .. she is basically having a temper tantrum on everything she sings , and i think you will find the Sugarcubes ( Bjorks old band) were hugely influenced by Scottish post punk ,pop .. like the Associates

1. Great song. Great band. Vocals are incredible, especially on the solo work. 2. Bjork is great. 3. merica is great and as long as your in it you can say whatevs. 4.Europe and the UK are INFinitely more interesting and also kinda big n stuff. 5. The youth and their freakin ears !! Conclusion: They guy may strike out for some but you can't deny he's got the pitch. Thank you and goodnight. UK don't go changin now!

Regarding " Darqmommy" we are not all in "merica" you know , and this song was a big hit in the UK and Europe, which is bigger and infinitely more interesting than " merica" .. but i know you mean well.. lol

hey... at least we're having a conversatioon about an obscure new wave song that's like 30 years old, and we can all express our opinions in 'merica! i happen to think of Billy as the original emo singer. he doesn't have a lovely voice, but his self-deprecation and pain are so evident tht he transforms the material.

bjork is awesome. i can't believe you guys would like new wave/quirky music but not like bjork. wow. Anyway , I was originally gonna comment about how horrible the singer sounds... Oh my lord, it's like a joke. I'm all for 'quirky' new wave singing, but this is just pitchless whining. it's like he's purposely trying to sound as bad as possible. Sounds a bit like Robert Smith if he could never hit a note and was trying to sing along to something with sound-proof headphones on. lol.

Yes, Björk hasn't got the most... accessible voice, but she's not that bad. I just found it strange to hear his voice the first few times I heard it because it was so... strong. I admit that I don't get put off now but there you go, don't be too quick to write something on the internet. Oh, and I forgot that my username reflects my knowledge and taste in music. I do apologise if I don't have the same creative genius mind that thought of the name, "sian_emily".
