My Urfe transcriptions are still up here: https://www.last.fm/user/ThanatosUK/journal They're kinda shitty and there are quite a few mistakes I've noticed in the years since but they're there if anyone wants them.

Thanks for that explanation - I take back the cursing - you can't expect all artists to suffer! At least we know the world they created was one of true pain and suffering though; makes it all the more worrying to go back into the hospital.

Well that just fucking sucks, but at least they had the decency to break up instead of releasing a bad album.

They did well, ending the project, such great music shouldn't be made with an obligation!

If you read the accompanying notes to "Ordained" in the "Tenements" booklet, that epiphany for the Urfe character - and how it is manifested musically in that song - naturally sealed the conclusion. We didn't want to risk diminishing the impact of that in any way and couldn't see any way forward that wouldn't cause that to happen.

"Yes we decided to fold Axis. We have done everything we wanted to and much more. the story was finished and we had started to feel it was a burden. It's not very pleasant music to make and we did not want to disrespect it, ourselves or the people who enjoy it by continuing it out of a sense of obligation and duty. It also represents a chapter of our lives that is over and done with. Speaking personally I have to immerse myself in some pretty horrible memories and states of mind to get in the zone and that's something I don't want to do any more. It's not healthy and pretending felt dishonest. I'm not the angry, seething mess I was in 2002 an have no desire to be that ever again. "

Not at all I think. But I do think they should carry on in the direction of Tenements and consolidate their black sound.

How does this band fit in with the newer occult/experimental/blackened death releases of late, like Portal, Mitochodrion, Abyssal? I think another solid release could propel this band into the critical stratosphere that those bands bathe in these days. It would be unfair if they got overtaken and forgotten about.

hey, Trauma (funny username, in my native language we call mentally disabled people like that(don't take any offence, please)), your bandcamp is full of your music, and that means that you are a creator, like everybody else who ever used their imagination to create something that would somehow reflect their inner feelings, and that means that as somebody who has experienced art of "the creation" you should fully understand and feel the beauty behind music of tAoP and why would somebody want to make love while listening to it.
