There have been a number of bands called The Brigade.

THE BRIGADE (1)
The freshest of the crop is the new Norwegian band The Brigade. Lets call them The Brigade (1) to avoid confusion with the other Brigade´s described on this page.

Riding their musical train across the American continent, their lyrics reflect a misanthropic environment where religion and alcohol are the pillars of life. The Brigade (1) lure you in to the darkness and kick you back into the light. Americana, Rock, Country and Southern Gothic is in the melting pot.

This band of brothers known as The Brigade (1) saddled up in 2009. The album is produced by Janove Ottesen from the great Kaizers Orchestra and mixed by Norwegian Grammy winner Yngve Sætre from Duper Studio. In addition to The Brigades own eminent songwriters we find Martin Hagfors (HGH, Homegrown), Jonathan Hall and Østen Bergøy (Tristania) who have all contributed with lyrics.

The Brigade (1) members have years of experience from different bands from Stavanger-area on the south-western coast of Norway.

They have been touring with other projects in the Europe, USA and Scandinavia

Some call their music Rock, some Country, Southern Gothic and yet others Americana. Music, lyrics and visuals inspired by Nick Cave, 16 Horsepowers, Wowenhand, Mark Lanegan, Murder By Death, The Doors, Band Of Horses, Cormac McCarthy, James Lee Burke, Donna Tart, Down By Law, Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil, Carnivale and more

THE BRIGADE (2)
For a couple of years in the late 1980s, members of the L.A. punk band Youth Brigade temporarily performed as The Brigade, after bassist Adam Stern left the band to go to college. During this time, they released an album called The Dividing Line (1986) on BYO Records.

THE BRIGADE (3)
Another band called The Brigade was described as "four-piece metal-infused hardcore terror". The Brigade was from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, and played for several successful years, deciding to end their career in November 2005. Ben Snyder, the band's vocalist, went on to join the band Dead Hate The Living, and Kevin Colabuono, one of the band's guitarists formed the band From The Grave.

The Brigade (4)
A "stop and go" hardcore band from Austin, Texas, The Brigade released one EP and one album entitled "Warnings" before settling on their new identity as UGLYTWIN. The group similar in sounds to bands such as The Chariot, Norma Jean, Stray From the Path and others within those respective genres.
