Obviously they weren't back then, but today I see your point. Just look at that scrobble ratio, for example. 1.3 Million Listeners to 18 Million scrobbles

The Byrds were one of the sixties-era, super-groups, lead by Roger McGuinn's legendary; 12-string Rickenbacker axe. Their harmonizing was impeccable. They covered a number of Dylan compositions like: "You Ain't Going Nowhere" to name just one. A couple of personal favs are: "All I Really Want To Do", and "Mr. Spaceman". Contemporaries of Stephen Stills, and Neil Young's "Buffalo Springfield". Also, try the Byrd's run-up anthem: "The Chimes of Freedom".

I don't know what five eyes is. And dismissing people who are different than you or hold different opinions or nationalitiies as subhuman is a trademark characteristic of racisim. So not only are you a racist bigot, you are also a paranoid mentally ill racist bigot. I pity you.

this band is all I need in life, Gene Clark is also like the most underrated musician of all time.

the idea to play a 12-string electric as if it was a banjo, is still the greatest gift of The Byrds to rock music

i have the "2006 MFSL Remaster PCM Stereo SACD" of Notorious and it generally sounds nice, but all the psychedelic sections sound super blown out and botched. is there a definitive release of the album i should be hearing? maybe a mono mix?

A band full of talented songwriters. David Crosby, Roger McGuinn, Gene Clark, Chris Hillman and Gram Parsons. My favourite album is 'Younger than Yesterday', although I am astounded that 'Mind Gardens' made it on there.

Their best album IMO. Or at least my favorite. Perfect blend of Folk Rock, Psychedelic Rock and their burgeoning interest in Country (to take full flight (flyte) on the next album). Still has some of those glorious harmonies that led most of us to fall in love with them in the first place, too.

There's some jazz in there too, blended in with folk and country for a unique taste and a great album. I have it as a second hand LP, still hoping to stumble into Sweetheart of the Rodeo at some point.

there`s so much more to The Byrds than the top 10 most listened list would suggest.
