The Düsseldorf Düsterboys is a German folk band that was formed in 2012 by musicians Peter Rubel and Pedro Goncalves Crescenti, who hail from Mainz. The band is currently based in Essen. Their music is characterized by elements of indie-folk, lo-fi, psychedelic folk, and indie-pop. The Düsseldorf Düsterboys' style draws inspiration from the folk music of the 1960s and 1970s, with influences from psychedelic and anti-folk genres, as well as chamber music, tropicalismo, and bossa nova.
The band released their debut album, "Nenn mich Musik," on October 25, 2019, under the Berlin-based indie label Staatsakt. Their second album, "Duo Duo," was released on October 7, 2022.
