In an alternate universe The Deadbeats dominated the punk scene and released tons of albums. It is baffling how fucking original sounding they were for their time. The singer had a band called BENT with only one song released called Strictly From Squaresville. Go listen to it. That was released in '85. HOLY SHIT is it crazy. I wish they would have put out more content.

Um, this is kinda lame how Last.fm can't seem to keep these two totally different bands' music apart. The EP is The (Los Angeles) Deadbeats first record but certainly far from their last as they still gig and record. As a matter of fact I'm going to see them open for The Avengers this Sunday. I'm not sure if it's out yet but I know they were writing and recording new material earlier this year. So that leaves two other albums besides the EP that they've released. 1996's Deadbeats on Parade and 1997's Live at The Whiskey 1978. Hey maybe these new Deadbeats will get rich and famous like Seattle's Nirvana did and have to pay the original Deadbeats a bunch of money like that obscure british Nirvana band got. Maybe not huh. At least Last.fm should fix this lame blending of two bands here.
