Biography
The Early Memoir is the name that David Kent performs his music under. Started in 2006 as a project outside of his then post-hardcore band, The Needless, he began writing acoustic based songs inspired by everyone from bob dylan to elliott smith. He released a self-recorded EP called "Rescue Me, Rescue You" in 2006 to favorable reviews, despite the recording quality and played shows all over Germany in support of it. He is currently working on the follow up EP "Parallels", as well as releasing a Live EP titled, "In Vein & Valor".
His music consists of traditional folk stylings mixed with the experimentation of bands like Wilco and Radiohead delivered in a punk rock fashion. He`s always looking to push the boundaries of his music while leaving enough hook for people to get caught onto.
