2022 continues to deliver musical treats. I'll admit I wasn't expecting much from this new record, but on first listen I thoroughly enjoyedit.

26,454 listeners - HOW? Why? How has only 0.0003% of the worlds population listened to this band? (Yeah, it's more in reality, but still...)

One of the coolest bands I've stumbled onto this year, it boggles my mind that I hadn't heard of them before considering I live barely two hours away from Des Moines. Dwell is just a pure intravenous shot of feel-good, and It Culls You has some fantastic atmospherics (they were even kind enough to send me two copies to make up for a shipping delay!). Definitely gonna be spinning these for a while.

also i see a lot of people comparing this music to radiohead. I definitely hear the similarities in tone but the general aesthetic and vibe of this band is going in a different direction than radiohead did, especially concerning the more upbeat songs. Not to mention radiohead is hot off the release of King of Limbs, a much more electronically produced (and awesome) album. I DID however, hear some interesting bass tones a couple songs in to It Culls You that reminded me of the all too popular wubwub bass in modern dubstep. Sounds pretty good though :p

on my first listen to the new lp right now, pretty stoked with it so far. I'm actually pretty glad that it's different from Dwell (one of my favorite albums ever), because you never like to see a band just endlessly repeating itself. Can't wait to hear what this band does down the road, will definitely be following them.

No doubt. The band made the album they wanted to make, and not what a major label wanted them to make. Having said that, I think Dwell played to all their strengths and is essentially a bonafide masterpiece. Not to mention that the Kid Gloves EP was made without major label interference and I think the general sound on that collection of songs is superior to It Culls You.

I like It Culls You, but it's a shame all the warmth and good will has been sucked out of their music for something darker and more clinical.

Um, these guys are amazing (even more so live!), but let's face it: Radiohead is not even in the same league.

It Culls You is the best album of 2011, so far. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Yusten-The-Music-Guru/240351842643322

Just finished my first listen of the new album. It's pretty damn good. Quite a bit different from previous albums, but still pretty damn good. And I feel like my opinion of it can only get better with more listens

New song 'Yellow Streak' is pretty rad. Two minutes of rapid pop-punk. Not the sort of thing you'd expect from The Envy Corps, but good all the same.

Still trying to find Humble Hero/Lurking in the Shadows. If anyone could send it to me, that'd be awesome.

Anyone know where I could grab any of their old old EPs? No idea where to find Gregory Rumes or Humble Hero/Lurking In the Shadows.

I've only heard Story Problem, but I love it. Could somebody send me links to their albums? Or at least the one that contains Story Problem. That'll be swell!
