This one has grown on me over the years. It seems almost insultingly simple and smooth at first glance, and those two attributes remain its most identifiable qualities, but the melodies and hooks, as always, are very, very good. In particular I would say that the B-side is quite strong, and "Edinburgh Man" is a goddamn beautiful song and a career highlight.

LOL @ "best album". Unfairly maligned and it has some decent songs, but there is just no comparison to the classics.

I don't dislike this album at all, but I'm baffled at its being the #1 Fall album on here (by a wide margin if you combine it with "Shift Work"). Is there a reason for this that I'm not aware of? I always assumed either This Nation's Saving Grace or Hex Enduction Hour was their most popular LP.
