A very extraordinary album, it's kinda prefabricated hodgepodge sort of thing. Yes, these were not the best times in Mark's life, and everything was done in a hurry and out of focus. As a result this had an impact on overall tracklisting too. The order of the tracks here is a little bit messy and disordered. Anyway, if you couldn't get youself to this record just try this order: 1. Early Life Of Crying Marshal 2. The Crying Marshal 3. Shake-Off 4. (Jung Nev's) Antidotes 5. This Perfect Day 6. Inevitable 7. Touch Sensitive 8. F-oldin' Money 9. Anecdotes + Antidotes In B 10. Bound 11. Mad.Men-eng.Dog 12. Birthday Song. //Much more consistent tracklisting. And yeah I dropped "On My Own". "Everybody but myself" was better. Imho. Overall it's a perfect successor to "Levitate".

And "(Jung Nev's) Antidotes" as well. Fucking hell is that a killer song. Dense, heavy and catchy as hell, all at once.

"F-oldin' Money" is one of their best covers. It destroys the original, recorded in 1959 by Tommy Blake. "Touch Sensitive" is one of their catchiest songs (you may remember it from a Mazda commercial a few years ago; weird that the Fall has been featured in more than one car ad). "The Crying Marshal" is incredible. Yeah... great record. Rockabilly + the weird electronic/dance music from Levitate + vaguely story-oriented lyrics tying it all together = brilliance.
