Biography

Formed over the course of the past 7 years as an excuse to get together and play old school music that our other bands were not into.

Old man Papa Madsen was burnt out on the studio scene after years of being the cheapest guy in town. In an act of desperation to get back out in the music world at his advanced age he called on his old friends Phillip "Honey" Ayer and Marshall "Wilder" Brengle to get him back in the live show game. Many jams commenced and, after a chance meeting at a bus stop in front of a church, "Teenage" Tommy Wasson was convinced to run away and join the circus that is The Honey Wilders. After a couple of failed attempts at getting the ball rolling, the band finally stumbled onto the drummer of their dreams. Just arriving back into the states from a 7 year tour around the world as part of "A Travailing Tribute to All Things That Are All Things," Jason "Chops" Barnes was convinced not to give up the drums, but instead join forces with the power of the Wilder. Once in a while, if he's in a good mood, they can also convince Alec "Don't Call Me John" Dorian to come and lay down some keys.Last to taste the magic that is was Ryan "mint" Barry on the Thunderberry bass guitar. Fresh off of a failed attempt to join the Tasmanian nation hockey squad. Now, if they can just find some bands that want to play with them, they may get out of the basement someday.

If you liked The Go Buttons, Machines of Tomorrow, The Sceamin' Ferrets, Bloomfield Underground, or The Thrift Store Junkies, we're basically the same kind of band.
