The Lollipop Shoppe were a band from Portland, Oregon, formed in 1966. The band featured Fred Cole on vocals, best known for playing in Portland garage rock band Dead Moon and more recently Pierced Arrows.

Originally known as The Weeds, after signing to Uni Records (a now-defunct subsidiary of MCA), their new manager, 'Lord' Tim Hudson, insisted they change their name to "The Lollipop Shoppe" to fit in with the current trend of music.

The band opened for stars such as Janis Joplin and The Doors, and appeared in the biker movie Angels from Hell.

The Lollipop Shoppe's recordings, including their only album release, the 1968 LP Just Colour, are hardly bubblegum pop, but instead a mix of garage rock and psychedelia. The album and its single, "You Must Be a Witch"–later included on the compilation LP Pebbles, Volume 8–are regarded as period classics and still prized by collectors, though neither made the charts. Other singles released by the Lollipop Shoppe include "It's Your Time" b/w "Little Girl" (1966) and "Someone I Knew" b/w "Through My Window". The band's last release was the 1969 single "Stop" b/w "No Good News" on Portland's NWI.

Just Colour has been bootlegged, but the Music Maniac label has legitimately reissued it using the band's original name The Weeds, with added bonus content. This release includes the singles "It's Your Time"/"Little Girl" and "Stop"/"No Good News" as well as the two tracks from the Angels from Hell soundtrack.

The Black Lips recently covered "You Must Be A Witch" during their Rhapsody Originals set.
