Love his drumming on Good. by The Sawtooth Grin. One of the best drumming I’ve ever heard

Loved them when I was about 15 years younger than I am now... they'd just kinda disappeared into distant memory, like "oh they're the ones who had that spoken word track about a guy eating a kid"... then I discovered Wild Gods yesterday. What an incredible album! Just such an amazing surprise. Also Vildhjarta have a new track. So it's been a good week.

just found myself thinking about these guys as they popped up in my shuffle, and what a great surprise it was to see that they released a new album last year. and holy moly, what a release.

The problem with comebacks like this is that the new material doesn't take into account that the audience has matured over the time of hiatus. Teen angst phase is over for the majority of their fanbase. Like, I don't care about hypocritical preachers anymore... and what's all this yelling about? Did he forget to send a tax return? Seriously, guys... look at what Daughters did and learn.

Wow, I guess grooveshark isn't a website anymore. Luckily I ripped the 3 songs that were on the link. BUT STILL. Somebody out there must have that demo laying around.

That's neat. Still looking for the rest of the And Ever demo. And more information about the release. But most the missing tracks that weren't on that previous link I posted.

Jon Karel is currently a bar tender in Buffalo, NY. Doesn't look like he's doing much with music :l

On Jon Karel: "On Sunday, February 21st, 2010, a broad group of musicians, friends, fans and music lovers gathered at Olive's in Nyack, NY for what would become an epic night of music and a loving farewell to our friend, Jon Karel, before he moved to Buffalo, NY. Presented here are almost 5 hours of recordings of the epic jams and cover performances, featuring some of the area's best known performers." http://www.freudiansliprecording.com/thelastsupper/

mongrel and worse than alone are great, just not as br00tal as earlier material. I always liked their weirder stuff more than their heavier stuff. the garden's all nighters is the best track they ever made. I do think Nuclear. Sad. Nuclear is a great balancing point though
