The Rats were an American garage punk band from Portland, Oregon, formed by Fred Cole. – The Rat's Revenge Part 1&2 released by Crypt Records and Black Cat Records. Songs that are characterized by fuzztone guitars, rough vocals, and are clearly influenced by groups such as Rolling Stones, Yardbirds, the early Kinks, and the Pretty Things. The Rats were an American garage punk band from Portland, Oregon, formed by Fred Cole previously of the garage rock band, The Lollipop Shoppe. Cole played guitar and sang, his wife, "Toody" played bass and sang, and initially Rod Rat played drums.

Hmm...finally discovered that the punk band responsible for the album "It's War" more commonly goes by the name of "Confederats." No wonder I could never find any info on them...though it appears [The] Confederats by that name isn't much less obscure.
