The Recks are a gypsy, jazz, folk, funk, genre-bending, mind-melting, slap-dashing, five-piece from the Isle of Sark in the Channel Islands.
Formed in 2012, The Recks have been releasing singles since 2014 with their debut album, 'The Beast From The Sea' appearing in June 2018. The Recks focus predominantly on their live shows with notable appearances at Boomtown Fair, Isle of Wight Festival, Board Masters, Latitude Festival, BBC Music Introducing Live, Beautiful Days and the INES Showcase, ‘Live at Heart’ held in Sweden.
The Recks music has been heard on BBC's The Mark Forrest Show, BBC Radio 3's The late Junction, Bethan Elfyn on Radio Cymru and BBC Music Introducing with Huw Stephens on BBC Radio One and BBC World Service.
