Oxford, UK–based quintet The Rock of Travolta return with their 2nd Full length album Fine Lines,

Within a year and a half of their first gig, The Rock Of Travolta had played in front of 45,000 supporting Radiohead at their immense South Park gig, released two records (My Band's Better Than Yours and I Love It When A Plan Comes Together), headlined Truck Festival, performed at In The City, recorded a John Peel Session and featured at No.48 in his Festive Fifty.

The following two EPs and the Uluru album were released to much critical acclaim, backed by UK‐wide tours that were complemented by sell‐out shows at their hometown Zodiac venue.

A significant line‐up change spurred the band into taking a new approach to writing new material and taking it on the road – their debut gaining them critical acclaim in the local press and from the BBC. Renowned for their powerful live shows, headline gigs in London venues followed and media were quick to pick up on the excitement, with the band featuring on BBC Radio Oxford, MTV2, Channel4 and on BBC South Today news. Taking a DIY approach, the band entered a self‐imposed exile, taking time to ensure that the new record did justice to the vision. The results speak for themselves. The new album Fine Lines establishes a new era for The Rock of Travolta, and the band are already set to build on this with a number of new tracks already finished and ready to record.

“ Emotively grand yet entirely organic, The Rock of Travolta are a great example of a band who're sculpting their own insular universe, and it's fascinating to have a peek inside” – Artrocker 4/5 - April 2011
“instrumental rock music at its most unpretentious” – Q Magazine 3/5 - April 2011
“TROT challenge the listener to keep up as they twist and turn through their increasingly expansive soundscapes” – Rocksound magazine 7/10 - April 2011
“Like Slint and Mogwai before them, they have a way of making a forbidding genre accessible, reining in the virtuosity before self-indulgence sets in.” Uncut 3/5 - April 2011
“The songs on Fine Lines are beautifully full and layered, the band manage to fit so much into one song that it verges on the sublime” More Than The Music.co.uk - April 2011

The track Super 8 appears on the free Sampler Spires
