When I was a child about 6-7 years ago, I enjoyed to listen to my parents LP's. Once I put on one of the Rolling Stones' recordings when my parents weren't at home and I was alone in an empty flat in the evening. And it was so snowy and dark outside (I live in Russia)... So I heard this track, and I was so scared... I felt the ghosts everywhere in the flat. And it was so hard to move... I sat motionless in my room until my parents came late in the evening after visiting friends...

As weallshineon__ says below, I always wondered how much influence Syd Barrett had on this one. Single for single, "Satanic Majesties" is so much better than "Sgt. Pepper's"

They should've made more stuff like this. Far more interesting and reward than Satisfaction, Start me up and the likes...

Probably my favourite Stones track, an absolute beaut. with great atmosphere, but much underated, just look at its position in the Stones chart listing; 100, what the F**k is that all about : ( Guys and Gals, you need to Wise Up : )

Not Syd & Keith....this one's all Brian Jones...maybe he wrote after tripping with Syd, though...but this gem is belongs to Brian.
