Biography
The Study Abroad are an indie / shoegaze / alt-rock band that initially started as a solo project in Denver, Colorado by lead vocalist/guitarist Christian Fickling in early 2017. After releasing the debut single "Dreamcatcher" on July 17th, 2017, The Study Abroad went on a brief hiatus. In January of 2019, The Study Abroad ended their hiatus adding John Wilson on drums. After months of writing, The Study Abroad were finally ready to record their second single, "Picturesque", at Rusty Sun Audio in Parker, CO.
"Picturesque" was released on May 24th, 2019 across all streaming and social media platforms.
Their dreamy, shoegaze-inspired sound makes them an immediate standout from your average local indie act; and with the two singles now available ("Dreamcatcher" and "Picturesque"), The Study Abroad are gearing up for their debut album release.
The Study Abroad released their debut album, 'Sleep Well', on December 13th, 2019. 'Sleep Well' was released on all streaming platforms and features nine total tracks – seven brand new tracks and the two previously released singles "Picturesque" and "Dreamcatcher".
