Lies for the Liars is The Used's third studio album. It was released on May 22, 2007.

While eleven tracks are featured on the standard copy of Lies for the Liars, bonus tracks were released on certain versions. In total, the band recorded 19 songs, from about 40 that were written in preparation for the album. Those songs not featured on a version of the album were released as bonus tracks, on CD singles, and the Shallow Believer EP. This is the first album without Branden Steineckert as the drummer. He was kicked out of the band in August 2006. Dean Butterworth of Good Charlotte recorded the drums for the album. Dan Whitesides toured with the band and was later announced as the official new drummer.

The special edition version includes a bonus DVD, slightly different artwork, special casing, and a 24-page booklet packed with vibrant images of the band and Chadam. The special casing is fashioned to look like a book, with the pages within holding several photographs of the band and different fictional characters as well as the lyrics. The DVD has a 20 minute feature on the making of the album.

The album debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with 92,000 copies sold according to Billboard.com.
