Biography

Lapua, Finland…early 2005.
It all started when bunch of guys wanted to rock together. The original lineup was Antti Jokiranta - (guitar), Jouni Yli-Rantala (drums), Juha Järvelä (bass). It seemed to work well and after a while they started to compose their own material. Few months gone by until Mikko Hamm joined the band as a rhythm guitarist. In springtime the band went to a local studio to record their first demo cd "This Means War!". Until this time they had searched for a vocalist but nobody was found. Antti started to sing.
In summer 2005 The Warblinkers had played their first gig in RänkiRock, Lehtimäki and it was time to rush to the studio again. The second demo was named "More Hatered". It contained heavier and more sentimental material than the first demo which was more like riffrock/punk.
In 2006 they played over twenty gigs and recorded their final demo with the original lineup. The record was named "Dezerters will be shot!". Their style changed a little into melodic hard rock. This demo was also their fastest record.
Their collaboration ended in early 2007 when Antti, Jouni and Juha decided to start a new band Revengine.
Since then there has been some changes in lineup.Juho Leppänen was recruited to sing and play guitar, Juho Kangas to play drums and Jussi Luomala to play bass.Juho Leppänen quit the band for personal reasons. Time went by and they found a new bass player Mikko Kesäniemi and Jussi Luomala changed back to his original instrument lead guitar.
In early 2008 they went to studio and recorded their newest demo cd "Band of bothers". Mikko took care of the vocals and started to sing on gigs. The demo contained one previously composed song from the original lineup and two totally new songs. This record did not sound as tight as the older ones but had more breath in it. Some may call it garage rock.
