after he blew up in 2015, it was a lot of people's first album from him they followed, + it is wall-to-wall with bangers, I can imagine going out to clubs and hearing this album everywhere, it seems like it defined a generation of Weeknd fans, the same way After Hours did for me

Artwork and song/sound quality have me thinking this is The Weeknd's laziest project, also considering that it got released only 15 months after BBTM - with this amount of songs! It appears a bit rushed. AND YET it's such a great album as all of his records <3 Some songs could've been left out, others could've used some fine-tuning. Starboy, Reminder, Rockin', Love to Lay, Ordinary Life, I Feel it Coming are the best crafted songs on this.

It was actually kind of 2015’s uptown funk and Get Lucky but I would say yes starboy was the push and then after hours was the final shove

The way Die For You became a hit in 2022-23 and now Starboy is rising to Die For You level once again like wtf a top tier album that aged well

infelizmente é uma moda dos dias de hoje. dificilmente a gente ve um album enxuto, pelo menos no mainstream tem sido assim

I love how negative this box is lmao, this kinda sucks and is WAY too long, still think bbtm is worse tho

i didn't like it at the time but i'm still surprised by how poorly it's aged. i'm not an expert but this has to be a contender for his worst project

honestly, same. I'm not a big fan, but I really wanted to like this album because the singles are iconic. However it feels bland and outdated

individually, it has so many great summer party/love songs.. but it feels creatively unambitious and unmotivated.
