ThxSoMch, real name Carter De Filippis, is a singer-songwriter originating from Toronto, Canada. His musical style blend elements of post-punk revival, emo rap, and indie rock.
ThxSoMch made his debut on September 4, 2022, with the release of "Runaway (Move Quick)," marking his inaugural single. In rapid succession, ThxSoMch unveiled subsequent singles, including "Only Need My Baby! (SMOAGT)" on September 12, "Like I'm British" on September 22, and "How You Always Look So Good?" on September 29. These compositions range from alternative pop to rap. Throughout 2022, he further expanded his musical horizons, venturing into the realm of indie rock with singles like "Imperfect Girl" in October and "Keep It Tucked" in December.
December 2022 witnessed a significant turning point in ThxSoMch's career as he achieved heightened recognition and popularity with the release of "SPIT IN MY FACE!" This track attained viral status on Spotify and TikTok, capturing the essence of toxic love and its insidious effects. Continuing his creative momentum, ThxSoMch released the single "Caroline" in January 2023, followed by "Hate" the subsequent month and "Crumbled" in April 2023. The artist revealed plans for his debut EP titled "Sleez," set for release on May 19, 2023. The EP showcases a combination of new compositions alongside previously released singles.
