Seems best to think of Today I Caught the Plague and The Kindred as completely separate bands.

"Tempting Haiwa" sounds like a bonus track from Deconstruction by the Devin Townsend Project.

Have been listening to Lore, great that the Band shares their amazing music! I like the full-length, but it sounds different from the masterpiece EP, i have some thoughts, but may be i should listen a bit more before commenting, still haven't got into it. Only thing i can say atm that it's a good record! =)

Protest the Hero and this band have nothing in common other than they play instruments. Also why the fuck is everyone concerned with who's "better"? Its fucking music not basketball. I've been listening to these guys since theyre 2 song demo and my god have the developed in to a fucking amazing band.

Accidentally found this band not so long(2 days) ago at MySpace, oh, they are so amazing! Great stuff, want to hear more! =D Also i want to say that not many technical/progressive bands have good vocalists(in my opinion), but this band's vocalist is really awesome! Very very impressive, like your style, Good Luck Guys, you have big future! =D

I'm fucking laughing so hard at everyone who's saying they rip off PtH. PtH has a lot less defined structure in their music, just a lot of wanking guitars and awesome riffs all at once, and hardly any melodic sections. Are there some TICTP songs with PtH influences? I'd say definitely, but they still have their own unique sound. Also laughing at people who say the vocals aren't good. I'm going to assume you haven't seen them live. I swear, some people just have the most unrealistic expectations of every band they hear, regardless of whether they have the resources to put together the greatest recordings possible.

I like how people feel a need to compare any metalcore/post hardcore band that plays technical, slightly progressive music with others, although parts are so completely different. lolol.
