Biography
Two artists exist under the name Tonik. Electro act Tonik from the Netherlands, and icelandic electro band Tonik.
Tonik (IS)
Tonik is an evolving electronic project. Blurring the gap between sound and sight, color has a strong influence on the end result, exploring the various ends of the electronic spectrum while maintaining a strong signature sound: rich and stripped bare, minimalist and intricate, finely crafted and yet very instinctive.
Tonik (NL)
Tonik is Utrecht based electronics; modern beats blending jazzy electric pianos and old-school drums & cymbals. Sometimes subtle, sometimes rough, never boring. The first album (127BPM) is released in 2007. After that an EP followed, named 'Spilling the Gin EP' with four songs. The second album 'Showrooms' is released late 2008. In July '09 the brand new 'Into the Black EP' sees the daylight, followed up by the 'Lozenge EP' in May 2010. You can download all albums and EP's for free at http://www.alexandervanderlinden.nl.
