Biography

This R&B singer/Actor/Producer/CEO got his start acting in community theatre, growing up in Gainesville Florida. As a child, living in an academic based family,which he strived to break the generational hold of having an ordinary life, which other family member had undergone. TONYE set out to start something new forming his own Brand. So as he got older he started to experiment with different talents that he discovered. Acting, being one, sports being another, and after training at Duke Ellington School of the Arts, he discovered his gift of music.

In 2004, after high school, he attend Columbia College Chicago as a Music Theatre major. Soon after his second year he formed Bout Dat Entertainment, a independent Music Label that gets involved with Indie Artist to help get them on the road to success in their music careers, offering Radio promotion, Music Production, Distribution, and Marketing services. Currently, Bout Dat Entertainment has five artist signed and has released 7 titles and still growing.

Tonyé has worked with grammy winning producers and studio engineers including Lewis Bryant (Hit song:” That’s Just My Baby Daddy” artist include: KHIA, Ta-Ta, producing for label as: LaFace Records and Artemis Records) Larry Strum (Beyonce, Jay-Z, Whitney Houston, P.Diddy) Marc Lee (Brandy, Mariah Carey). He has also wrote/Produce songs for every artist on his label. His number one single “I Got It,” from his current album “Life After Love”, was co-written with his longtime friend Philip Tarver. Tonyé has written or co-wrote every song on both his first and second album including being featured on countless independent artist tracks.
