"Fear Inoculum" is the fifth studio album by the American rock band Tool. It was released on August 30, 2019, through Tool Dissectional, Volcano Entertainment, and RCA Records. Marking the band's first album in 13 years, it followed a prolonged hiatus caused by creative, personal, and legal challenges faced by the band members after the release of "10,000 Days".
The album was met with critical acclaim, with reviewers praising the band's successful refinement of their signature sound. It debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, making it Tool's third consecutive album to top the chart, with over 270,000 album-equivalent units sold in its first week. It also reached number one on five other national album charts.
Two tracks from the album received Grammy nominations: the title track "Fear Inoculum" was nominated for Best Rock Song, while "7empest" won the Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance.
