Totem Terrors is a Welsh post punk band from Cardiff formed in 2011. The band currently consists of primary songwriter and core member Max Hicks (vocals, bass, guitar), Elliot Blake (drums) and Joe Sewell (guitar, bass, vocals). Blake and Sewell joined as members after first appearing as extras in one of the bands videos. Totem Terrors' sound incorporates a wide range of influences, including post punk, 1980s art rock, garage rock and contemporary noise rock.

Totem Terrors was initially formed after the break-up of another band, Joy of Sex, which featured Hicks along with percussionist/singer Rosie Smith and guitarist/singer Matt Thomas. After Thomas left, Smith switched to guitar and formed Totem Terrors along with Hicks and a drum machine.

As a two-piece, Totem Terrors released three albums: Repeat Play Torrent Rar (2013), Hard Science (2015) and Remainders (2016), although the latter was a retrospective compilation released after Smith had left the band to concentrate on her own project Oh Peas!

The band is known for its unpredictability, humorous blunt lyrics, and playful visual aesthetics best seen in the bands videos.
