Biography

Toy Division was a Budapest-based Hungarian nu jazz band from 1999 to 2006 founded by DJ Lászól Imre and keyboardist Gábor Pál. During its seven year run, it had moderate success in the emerging Hungarian lounge scene, leaving fans behind with fond memories.

The band released a single in 2002 and an album in 2003 - both titled Budapest Resonance and appeared on several compilation albums all around the world. Toy Division was featured on the soundtrack of several Hungarian and international short and feature motion pictures.

The style and the members changed over time, and after declining performance possibilities and artistic differences among the core members, it silently ceased to visibly exist in 2006.
