Biography

Trash Pub is an indie/garage rock band that writes nonsensical lyrics.
Formed int 2018 by Spencer J. and Nash A. the band was originally inspired by Tenacious D to write humorous songs, resulting in their 2018 self titled EP.
While the EP wasn't exactly what the band was hoping to release, it showed them how the whole process worked and what to improve on, which was apparent with their first album released during quarantine in 2020 titled 'The Second Coming' signifying that the band was back and ready to show their new sound. They still kept the light, comedic style writing from before but made the songs easier to actual jam to with more focus on the lyrics and slight harmonies. The album was hyped up to their small fan base with classics such as 'Reddit Way', 'GFuel Song' and 'Quarantine.' The album didn't do to well due to band not really having a true way to push it out their fans, but the band made very small amounts of physical CD burns to sell to a very small amount of fans.
The band almost instantly started on new material after the release of 'The Second Coming,' this time taking inspiration from punk classics like Butthole Surfers and Meat Puppets, while still retaining their original comedic writing. The album, titled 'The Nxt One', incorporated distortion guitar and even bass on many of the tracks, thanks to new member Alex W.S, giving more to listen to for the listeners. The album had several singles released before it's release, including 'Bebder's Message', 'Tortilla Chip Man Is Comin' To Town', 'Anthem For The Karens' and the fan favorite 'Big Blue Box.' This album had some small more serious moments with song like 'Blue And Green' riddled in between all the sillyness that was tracks like 'Major Melon', which would pave the way for the next release.
Trash Pub would go through some hardships during the next year, both within the band itself and outside of it's control. The band would split ways with Nash A. as the lead singer and songwriter, leaving just Spencer J. and Alex W.S. in control. This didn't make the quality of the music any worse however.
The next album to come from the band would be 2023's 'Everything's Burning So It Must Be Fine' which was the first album to not be recorded on one of the member's phones, and instead recorded directly into Spencer's computer giving it a slightly more professional sound and feel overall to it, while also leaning into a more indie rock/garage style that they label themselves as now. This album also was the first Trash Pub album to truly include drums and bass on every track. With such singles as 'Big Rubba Duck', 'Stain On My Shirt', and 'Simon The Ceiling Fan', all quickly becoming the band's most popular releases by far.
While enjoying the feeling of releasing a new album, the band decided to release their first live album, aptly titled 'Out Of The Garage (Live Recordings)' which was simply a 13 minute, 8 song collection of the bands more recent full live recordings put on to streaming services for fans to listen to.
Roughly four months after 'Everything's Burning So It Must Be Fine' was released, the group re-released the album under a new name with a new cover titled, 'Everything's Continuously Burning So We Might Die', which was the same as the original album, but included 20 new tracks which ranged from demos of already released songs to unfinished or unreleased tracks that fans would finally hear. These tracks ranged from 'The Nxt One' era all the way to after the album was released.
A few short months after the last release, Spencer J. and Alex W.S. split up leaving Trash Pub in Spencer J.'s hands for the moment, which brought fourth the band's first collaborative song titled 'Thinking Back On It' which featured fellow 'Garfield Album' song writer, Xebrax124. The two spent about a month writing and mixing the track before finally delivering it to fans.
The future isn't 100% certain for Trash Pub, outside of Spencer J. wanting to continue writing and even performing more for fans in live settings.
