Trio Esperança are a family vocal group founded in the late 50's by sisters Regina and Eva (Evinha) Corrêa, and brother Mario, in Rio de Janeiro. The siblings started performing professionally in 1961 and recorded the songs "Menino do Amendoim" and "Rock do Espirro" for the record label Odeon, when they were 15, 10, and 13 years old, respectively.

Their first big hit was "Filme Triste", a Brazilian version of "Sad Movies". Then came their first LP, "Nós Somos o Sucesso", released in 1963, which featured some of the group’s most popular songs, such as "Bolinha de Sabão". In the late 60’s, Evinha left the group to pursue a solo career and her youngest sister Mariza joined the group. With its new formation, Trio Esperança released other albums.
