Such a great Album. Definetly one of my favorites, especially when times aren't that good.

Yes and no. You really have to individually separate qualities of PV to find them in anything else , as nothing seems to have that perfect synergy of the production and the instrumentation. It’s crazy how unique it is and how many people I’ve seen try to find comparisons. This will make me sound unhinged and deaf, but the closest things I’ve found so far, which are still wildly different at the same time, are: the second half of “Disintegration” by The Cure, “ZABA” by Glass Animals, and Turnover’s own album “Good Nature;” hilarious. If I find anything else, I’ll post it here.

While the album doesn't necessarily stand out on initial listen, the depth of the lyrics & the depressive nature and somber tone of the lyrics in combination with dream pop creates a fairly unique experience. However, what you'll really find is just how meaningful this album is to so many people. It causes you to introspect, to ponder life and it's meaning. That's what makes this album so great and why it resonates with so many people. Not to mention from start to finish it's all rippers no skippers. Better discussion?

Coming back to this album is always a fantastic time. It's like reconnecting with an old friend who treats you the same as they always have. it's a really comforting feeling

there's nothing like this. like sure you can compare title fight or gleemer or something who are also great but nothing sounds close to peripheral vision

I haven't listened to this album in a while, it's like returning to an old friend you haven't seen in a while. Goddamn has this album brought me so much comfort over the years.

One of the best albums I've ever heard, and that's really saying something. It's so simple but so perfect.

Rediscovered this album recently. Great find. I can't get into a lot of the bands that are supposed to be closely related either. Hope they continue to evolve this sound.

Haven't listened to indie/alternative/whatever rock bands in a very long time but this album has been a pleasant surprise. Love the dreamy sound combined with melancholic, dark lyrics.
