Biography
Stanley Kubrick… Alfred Hitchcock… Orson Welles. Legendary directors, who took great pride in the refining of their craft. Skilled filmmakers, that placed more merit in artistic integrity then commercial success. Directors that propelled the cinema to new heights, while never compromising their unique vision. Artists who inspired.
In a time where the majority of aggressive music is being watered-down for mass consumption, Twenty Four Frames embraces the integrity of these celebrated directors, by sharing in their unique vision, and by using film as a basis for musical compositions.
Forming in late 2003, Twenty Four Frames spent several months solidifying their lineup and formulating a concept. By the middle of 2004 the band had found their niche and began developing their songs, both musically and lyrically, around the works of Stanley Kubrick. By deconstructing and analyzing the films, they were able to translate the structure, mood and emotions into their music, branding a unique, audacious sound. Midway through the recording of "The Kubrick Collection" demo, drummer (and longtime friend) Craig Garber befell a tragic, work-related accident and was killed. His death was a major blow for all the members on a personal level, but everyone agreed that Craig would've wanted Twenty Four Frames to continue forward. After some time off, the band recruited longtime friend Mark Miller, formerly of area heavyweights Great Solar Stance, to begin work on the films of Alfred Hitchcock.
Twenty Four Frames maintains a passion for both music and film, and proudly attempts to parallel the two, using the same artistic integrity as the filmmakers who inspire them.
