Urban Myth Club follow up the commercial success and critical acclaim of their bestseller debut ‘Helium’ with an edgier, epic and hotly anticipated album.

‘Open Up’ sees Urban Myth Club duo Mark Desvaux and producer/samplist Ian Sanderson return with their intense electro beats and swirling, cinematic melodies fused with stunning female vocals. The album is predicted to follow in the footsteps of ‘Helium’ which has entered the sub-conscience of millions as a soundtrack for film and TV.

Appealing to a devoted yet diverse audience, ‘Helium’ has sold over 10,000 copies, hitting No.1 across many genre charts and staying in the Amazon Top 100 for over 200 days. The album picked up a broad spectrum of support ranging from KISS FM to Radio 1, Xfm to Radio 2. Urban Myth Club fans have forged a uniquely personal relationship with their sound, including KISS FM DJ Justin Wilkes who even chose one of their tracks as the first dance at his wedding.

Mark Desvaux describes their popularity: ‘It’s fantastic that our music has such wide appeal. I remember getting two bizarre emails a few hours apart - one was from a top DJ in Ibiza saying that one of our tracks was going down a storm during his sunset set, whilst a presenter on Classic FM said they were going to play another on their evening show. That same week, other tracks were being played by Rob da Bank on Radio 1 and Bob Harris on Radio 2.’

Urban Myth Club’s debut album was the biggest seller at The Big Chill following their live performance, whilst fans fell in love with them during their three Glastonbury appearances and other festivals including Glade and The Secret Garden Party. The duo are now set to promote the album launch of 'Open Up' with a number of live shows and DJ sets in the spring, followed by festival appearances.
