Biography

Led by the powerful vocals of Myrrhine Faller, Urban Preacher has the right amount of class and spunk to bring back an old sound in a new way. The fun rocking tunes are easy to sing along to and the mind-blowing solos keep you coming back for more. Close your eyes and imagine an 8-piece band, dressed for success, playing a dingy barn, sounding like the bastard child of The Black Crowes and The Black keys with a female singer. Anthony Rinaldi (sax) steps to the edge of the stage and plays a jazzy lick that bleeds into a face-melting guitar solo, care of Neil Hendry. The “shooby-doo-wop” backup singers hold your attention, but in the shadows, you see the silhouette of a man in a cowboy hat pounding away at the keyboard (Jordan Safer). The stage comes alive with the thud of Dave Henriques on bass. Justin Ruppel (drums) keeps the beat going while the band stops and sings along to a chorus; you can’t help but to sing along too! The Urban Preacher congregation reminds you that we’re all in this together, so take a step back from life, hold on to your beer and enjoy the ride.
