Maybe one of the most significant cues in the history of Hollywood. Electronic music was a growing concern for the traditionalists of the form, and remains so for a lot of purists about these things. But my god it never fails to impress when Deckard leaves his apartment and you see from above the wasteland he sees before him, and you hear those swelling synths and then we see Pris walking towards Sebastian’s place with all that stunning VFX above, the ads and the movie theater across the street adding so much to the moment. And then of course we hear it again during that hypnotic moment when Zhora dies and breaks through the glass, the electronics coming back to add a bit of the blues indeed, for a future of no hope for such sentiments except in isolated moments in apartments twinkling away at the piano and taking a ride with his horned friend, or one of Tyrell’s other fictions perhaps?

I've felt soo many different emotions while listening to this during different moods. Feelings that would be complete opposites of themselves during normal circumstances somehow come out as natural as ever under the warm soft glow of the right moment. It always seems to speak in the perfect language of any given time.
