Biography
Vasko_the_pig is formed of Mark Wallbridge, his guitar, his PC and lots of software.
Drawing on influences diverse as My Bloody Valentine and Orbital, Nine Inch Nails and Aphex Twin, his aim is to create music that is at once challenging yet accessible, distorted yet subtle, while at all times holding onto a strong sense of melody.
The first EP 'Further Thoughts on Drowning' collects 4 of his calmer tracks including the 12 minute crescendo that is 'Big In Small Circles' and the euphorically saturated swell of 'Kober'
The second EP 'Forever Wednesday' pulls together further 9 tracks produced between 2006-2008.
More up-beat than it's predecessor and including more live elements the release marks a step towards a more rounded sound.
Highlight's include the Trent-Reznor-on-happy-pills-esque 'Equal and Opposite', the Heavymetal/DnB/Gabba-fest 'Shitstorm' and ever so slightly spooky 'Vowkal'.
