Biography

Velvet Code, is an Award-winning Artist, DJ, Producer and Songwriter known for his heavy 80’s musical influences and addictive dance floor tracks. A fixture on Billboard with his recent hit song "Mary Offered Ladybugs and Love Yous" hitting #27 on the Billboard Dance Music Chart, Velvet Code collaborated with industry legend Wendy Starland (discovered and developed Lady Gaga) for his sophomore album " Dreamer" which was released in 2019.

Velvet Code’s influences include Avicii, Depeche Mode, Erasure, and Lady Gaga. His music can be described as a modern take on 1980’s with heavy influences of and , most notably the sub-genres of EDM known as , and .

When Velvet Code was created in NYC, he quickly gained notoriety by touring with Mindless Self Indulgence. Legendary Producer Mark Saunders (Shiny Toy Guns, Erasure, The Cure) co-produced his synth-infused pop debut album "Black Blue Blind" which quickly garnered accolades from the likes of Perez Hilton, Arjan Writes, EQ Music and Larry Flick from Sirius XM Radio. Velvet received the plaudit of “Dance/Electronica – Song of the Year” at the 8th Annual Independent Music Awards for the hit song “Say You Love Me”.

Velvet Code relocated to London where he released "Get Outta My House" which spent 10 weeks on UK's Music Week Upfront Club Charts and peaked at #3.

Velvet Code’s comeback single in 2018, "Break The Silence", has garnered over a million views on YouTube, and 300,000 streams on Spotify and Apple Music. He was a guest on Canada's top news channel, CP24, as well as eTalk and iHeartRadio Canada, Velvet has performed on CTV's Morning Live, Global TV’s Morning Show, and Breakfast Television.
