I've only got 13 of his albums (not including the collaboration with [artist]Ma Ja Le[/artist] and "Body Electric" with [artist]Steve Roach[/artist]), so, as usual, deciding on a favourite is tedious... but I'd go for the trio of "Mercury & Plastic", "Primary Space" and, naturally, "The Drift Inside"... with honourable mentions for "The Winter Ghost" and "Everything Needs Balance". :P Peace and love.

I'd start out with Aeonian Glow and Pulse'n Atmo.... Aeonian Glow shows VU's more floaty, calm and "soft" side, while Pulse'n Atmo showns his faster and more "technoid" side. As a companion to the two, i'd choose The Drift Inside... which is more melodic. All other albums of him are simply more of the stuff you heard in the mentioned 3 albums (i dont mean this in bad way - this until now simply is "his style"). If after all this you still want more, then i'd look into some of the collaborations he did - i.e. albums he did together with chris short, steve roach and the elf machine.

Hey Vir, Love your music, in fact I'd like to use some of it on my personal portfolio site, but I don't want to do so without your permission or the permission of your label. I'd love to get in contact especially since I too am a fellow Chicagoan. You can email me at ssands@sndsportfolio.com. Hope to hear from you! -Sean
