Biography
The modern rock quartet Virginwool stirs lush pop harmonies and rollicking rock riffs to capture the new millennium's next breed of alternative pop/rock. Hailing from Florida, band members Jordan Pouzzner (vocals), Adam Loewy (bass), Gar Willard (guitar), and Brett Cook (drums) have been playing pockets in and around the Southeast since their inception in the mid-'90s. Matching the likes of their statehood counterparts such as Matchbox Twenty, Sister Hazel, and Creed, Virginwool released a self-titled four-song EP in 1996, with the seven-track release Women following a year later. After becoming a regional favorite with the single "You're the Girl," Virginwool released Open Heart Surgery on Atlantic in August 2000.
