Biography
Vlad Soriano is a London guitarist/musician
He currently plays with Niall Kelly and has been active in the London Blues and Acoustic Open Mic circuit in London since 2002.
Originally from Melbourne Australia, Vlad arrived in London in 2001 and has been honing his craft, notably on acoustic guitar. His first album, Timbre & Tone was originally produced in 2006 from home recording sessions - and has now been released to the public after many many requests. To co-incide with this debut album, a companion album of cover songs has also been released containing material played at many live performances.
His influences stem from heavy rock and metal from his childhood, but loves to listen to blues, funk and folk. Rock acts such as Clutch, Foo Fighters, AudioSlave as well as classic bands such as Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, Alice In Chains & Pearl Jam would be active on his CD playlist. But thank goodness for Last.FM or he'd never hear all the great indie artists out there.
Blues idols such as Albert King, Howlin Wolf and John Lee Hooker are his main blues roots with a touch of Ian Siegal. And a rock guitarist wouldn't be one if they didn't listen to other guitar greats like Steve Vai, Joe Satriano, with a little helping from Stevie Ray Vaughn and John Mayer.
