Biography

WWW (previously "We Want Words," also known as WWW Neurobeat) is a legendary project that, in the early 1990s, created the basis of the contemporary Czech scene. However, their first full album, called Neurobeat, was released in 2006, 15 years after the band was formed in 1991. Lubomír Typlt's surrealist poems rapped and recited by the vocalist Ondřej Anděra (aka Sifon) in synergy with Anděra's eclectic music sampled from various field recordings amalgamate into a musical experience with a characteristic dark sound.

Upon its inception, the band also included Lela on vocals. Ondřej Anděra started making music on his very first synthetiser, producing tracks heavily inspired by . Lubomír Typlt's has cited as influences Laibach and other artists "collaborating with the band, re-creating the band's sound, and making it more experimental in the process." The music video for their song Noční můra, heavily inspired by the local graffiti scene, was the first hip hop video to be broadcast on national television. There are several other tracks, the popularity of which has contributed to their acclaimed status in the Czech underground, such as Karamel or Hranice.
