Mais um ótimo álbum, diferente mas não menos grandioso que anteriores. Essa banda nunca me decepciona <3

Second favorite album. Loved how they exploied this many-heads thing, through a symphonic rock way. Let Us Burn and Edge Of The World <3

Huge, huge disappointment, to be completely honest. And We Run (with Xzibit) is surprisingly cool and refreshing, and Silver Moonlight sounds great. The duet with Tarja is okay, too. The rest is really meh. Overall their worst album to date, by a large margin, in my opinion. The lyrics of most of the songs are an insult to anyone who liked their previous work for the lyrics. They've kept them very, very simple and just went for catchy rhymes and made sure their choruses are as poppy as possible. The fact that their cover of "Radioactive" is the best thing about the whole album says a lot. And to all those giving the typical "evolution, deal with it" speech: this is not evolution. Just completely changing your sound isn't evolution, it's just change. And that can be for the better or for worse. Evolution doesn't apply here. Evolution applies to bands like Epica, Nightwish and In Flames. But not Within Temptation.[2]

I actually wasn't feeling this album when it first came out...I mainly only liked And We Run, Paradise (What About Us?), and Silver Moonlight but upon giving it another listen it's actually quite good. A lot of catchy tracks.

Hydra and The Heart of Everything are my most favorite albums, The Unforgiving was the absolute worst album for me

Годно! По сути первый альбом, что я прослушал от WT. После которого решил и остальные послушать)) Вообще, группа классная, доставляет!

This was such a disappointment. Especially because it followed the masterpiece that was The Unforgiving [2]

Oh, and it's kind of a toss up between Dog Days and Paradise...just an awesome album all around though.

I've never not liked a Within Temptation album, and Hydra is no exception. Highlights for me include And We Run, Paradise, and my personal favorite Dog Days.

Although the band has no more heavy sound as before (I'll always prefer Enter and The Dance EP) they did a great job on this new album. I'm glad they left that phase of The Unforginving. HYDRA is an album with great and exciting songs, with "feelings", and that leaves us wanting to hear it again. Ah, and with great feats. too! I liked a lot of songs with Dave Pirner and with Xzibit, who showed they arent afraid to innovate (and btw, went very well!)

Many songs in this album reminded me of The Heart of Everything. [3] Which is their best album to me, so this is fine.

"Some of you need to grow up... What were you expecting?" I take it you've never known disappointment? No shit people had expectations. It's an established band. No one is going into it with a blank mind. If you liked the "new and fresh" approach, good for you. But a person is not childish for not doing so.

Hydra offers a sort of middle ground between The Unforgiving and The Heart of Everything (which might be the best in the band's career). Of the total 10 songs, 3 are overly weak, the rest is great - not a bad score. Oh, and I'm really disappointed with the bonus material: charging that much for a bunch of pre-production outtakes and cover songs already known to everyone concerned is a crime in itself. [2]
