Biography
Wuw is the name of more than one artist:
1) French doom metal
2) Welsh dub
WuW is an Experimental/Progressive/Instrumental/Doom from Paris (France). With a line-up comprising two brothers:
Benjamin Colin : Drums, keyboards, percussions, sound engineering; and Guillaume Colin : Guitars, bass, keyboards, percussions.
They both followed the same musical curriculum, and as teenagers, they both started listening to Metal bands… And like many, they wanted to reproduce what they were listening to. Until 2016, they were part of the group, Abrahma, formation of Parisian Psychedelic Heavy Rock with whom they had released two albums.
They left on good terms, but it seemed natural to them to continue making music together. Benjamin is a sound engineer, having the equipment to record, they started to work together on compositions, then it became WuW. The formation being made up of only two members.
The influences and the music that they listen to on a daily basis also play a big part in their composition. From "light" bands, or others more atmospheric, more doom and even Free Jazz. At WuW, there has always been a desire to integrate a lot of very broad influences.
