She made her solo debut in 2009 with the single 'Aitai…'. Since then she has released 4 albums, 1 best album, 3 live DVDs and 11 singles (As of March, 2015). YU-A has collaborated with several artists over the years such as INFINITY16, AZU, Dohzi-T, and Miss Monday.
Her real name is Sato Ayumi (佐藤鮎美) and she was born in Hokkaido, Japan. Her blood type is A.
