Biography
"You are not all Boring" is an electronic music producer located in the Ottawa/Hull region of Canada. He has been producing electronic music for over a decade now, starting out within the demoscene, specifically in the MOD music arm of things. He primarily uses free software, the software package Buzz being his primary music tool with a majority of the plugins and effects used being also from within the freeware community. He composes ambient, ambient dub, narcotic house, deep house, electronic dub, drum and bass, synthpop and other genres, with a strong leaning towards the ambient and dub side of things. His studies have broadened his musical approach and he is also a composer of modern classical and experimental sound art and often tries to bring things he's learned in those studies into his more 'pop' oriented electronic music.
Currently, much of his music is being released by his own netlabel, Not All Boring Industries, and is available for download on archive.org. Prior to that, his music was available on various torrent sites which led to a few music blog references. In the late 1990's he also released a DAM CD through MP3.com featuring a selection of awkward acid house tracks. In 2000 he released locally in Saskatoon a hand-painted 3" CD-R of breakcore and ambient noise. Both of these were released on his previous moniker "Procyon Lotor".
