the rest is boygenius‘ second EP, and the follow-up to their full-length debut, the record. It was recorded at Blackbird Studios in Nashville, TN, and Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California, and published by Interscope Records on October 13, 2023. The first track, “Black Hole”, debuted live at the MGM Music Hall on September 25, 2023, while the titles of the other three tracks were teased online. One new track was played live at three of the four remaining shows leading up to the band’s sold-out show at Madison Square Garden, where the full EP was played live for the first time.
